Panama has recently undergone changes in the criminal justice system, to provide for verbal hearings and a more expedited process, to ensure that victims and complainants receive a swift resolution of their case, as well as ensuring that there is less delay in the process.  This process allows the victim or complainant to be represented in the process to ensure that they feel that the case is moving along fast enough and that every possible action is being taken.
