Questions people usually ask before moving to Panama:

Over the next few months, we will be publishing a series of short blog posts (typically only 300-500 words), which answer some of the more common questions that people ask before moving to Panama.

These are questions like:

  • How much money do I need to live in Panama?
  • What is housing like in Panama?
  • Do I need to learn Spanish to live in Panama?
  • Is Panama a good place to live?
  • Where do expats live in Panama?
  • Will I be happy in Panama?
  • How can I be happy in Panama?
  • What’s the weather like in Panama?
  • How can I make money in Panama?
  • How good is the internet in Panama?
  • What is health care like in Panama?
  • How do I buy property in Panama?
  • Can I build my own home in Panama?
  • Is Panama really safe?

Why publish an article about these questions?

The reason we are going to be publishing and answering these sorts of questions is that we see a lot of websites touting Panama and easily making posts like:

  • #1: The cost of living is low.
  • #2: Panama offers the Pensionado Visa.
  • #3: Panama is welcoming to expats.
  • #4: US Dollars are accepted.
  • #5: It’s a very safe country.
  • #6: It’s naturally beautiful and biodiverse.
  • #7: There are no Taxes on Overseas Income.

And, while most of this is true… there is also some information that is being left out of what is posted about life in Panama.

So, we will do our best to provide you with our experience of what is true for our clients about their relocation and immigration experiences moving to Panama.  There have been some things which are culturally different – sometimes hard to explain and to experience.  And there are also some wonderful things about Panama that make it a great place to live!

So, we hope that you will find these short blog posts useful.

We also hope that you will, in the comments or on our Facebook page, contribute with questions that you might like us also to answer!

We would really appreciate your contribution!

Thank you so much.
